FINN VALLEY AC’s Daniella Jansen will compete at the Manchester International meet on Wednesday night.

Jansen – pictured by Kieran Carlin – has been selected as part of the Ulster/Northern Ireland team for the meeting.

The 17-year-old Killygordon woman is on the 4x400m team that will go under starter’s orders at the Manchester Arena.

Teams from England, Scotland, Northern Ireland & Ulster, Wales, BAL/UKWL (British Athletic League / UK Women’s League), GB Juniors and international teams will compete on the night.

In 2018, Jansen earned her first Irish vest when she competed at the Celtic Games in Scotland.

Earlier this year, she was a silver medalist in the 400m at the National Indoor Championships.

Finn Valley shot putter James Kelly was also selected for the Manchester Games, but declined the invite as the shutter has come down on his season.
