Traffic delays following three car collision on main Letterkenny to Derry Road

There were long tailbacks on the main Letterkenny to Derry Road this evening following a three-car collision.

The crash happened just before 6pm amidst heavy traffic due to ongoing roadworks in the area.

Three ambulances attended the scene following the accident which saw three cars traveling in the same direction rear-end each other.

It is not known at this stage if anybody was seriously hurt in the crash.

A number of vehicles were damaged in the collision.
