Kilmacrennan rider Richard Kerr Remains in fifth position in the Dickies Supersport Championship after the 8th round of the series at Cadwell Park at the weekend.

Kerr and the team had a difficult weekend but still came away with an 8th and 9th place finish in the Supersport class.

It was a damp free practice one and Kerr ended the session in 10th place.

The secnd practice was wet and Richard posted the fifh quickest lap of the session after only completing a few laps as the rain came down.

The bike unfortunately had a mechanical problem in qualifying and Kerr missed most of the session and only got six laps but still managed 10th of the Supersport machines.

After the fast flowing Thruxton circuit two weeks previous, Kerr and the team where on the back foot after missing most of the second practice and qualifying.

Richard started the race on the tight and twisty Lincolnshire circuit on the fifth row of the grid and got away in tenth place where he would stay for most of the race and eventually finish in ninth and more solid points.

The team made a few changes  for race 2 and Richard finished in a very credible 8th position after the 16 lapper.

It was a difficult weekend as Richard struggled to find a set-up to match the leaders pace but still gathered 15 points and maintained his fantastic run of scoring points in every race this year.

Kerr is now 10 points behind the fourth-place rider and is 19 points ahead of the sixth place man.

The series moves to Oulton Park in two weeks’ time.

Richard would like to thank all his sponsors and Campbell Motorsport for their continued support.
