KEVIN CASSIDY has joined the management team for the latest series of TG4’s ‘Underdogs’.

Former Donegal star Cassidy – who won Ulster and Donegal SFC titles with his club, Gaoth Dobhair in 2018 – is part of a management team that includes former Kerry manager Mickey Ned O’Sullivan and former Cork ladies star Valerie Mulcahy.

The series sees footballers gather for trials with the aim of becoming part of the Underdogs team which will then go on to face of the country’s top sides.

Participating players can’t have played senior inter-county football.

Each week, one or more players are released from the panel ahead of a match on October 26th.

Details, including the opposition, venue and throw-in time for that game have yet to be announced

The game will be broadcast live on TG4’s GAA Beo on Saturday 26th October 2019.

Last year, the Underdogs took on Dublin XV at Parnell Park and lost heavily.

The show returns to TG4 next Thursday, 12 September at 9:30pm . It will be repeated on Sunday 15 September at 5:50pm, after the TG4 All Ireland Ladies Football Finals.
