Bonner, Donaghy take bronze at European Masters in Venice

FINN VALLEY AC duo Noreen Bonner and Gloria Donaghy helped Ireland to a half marathon team bronze at the European Masters Athletics Championships.

In Venice, Bonner came fifth overall with Donaghy finishing in 12th position.

Nuala Reilly was the other scorer, finishing in eighth in the W60 category.

Bonner finished in one hour and 40 minutes with Donaghy coming home in 2:14.29.

Yesterday, Finn Valley AC Brian Ó Domhnaill led Ireland to a team gold in the 20k walk, while Kathryn McDevitt of Letterkenny AC took team silver in the 4x100m relay.
