LYIT Donegal maintain fine start to new season with Cup win

LYIT Donegal continued their superb start to the season with an away win Cup over Limerick Sport Eagles – and the Donegal side are back in League action this afternoon.

LYIT Donegal overcame the Eagles 97-71at University Limerick yesterday in the Hula Hoops Presidents National Cup.

LYIT Donegal led 43-33 at half-time and had 28 points to spare by the end.

Manny Payton top-scored for LYIT Donegal with 26 points. Andrew McGeever bagged 24 and Dom Uhl scored 21/.

Reece Dupler was the best marksman for the Eagles with 36.

LYIT Donegal had nine players on the mark.

They are back in League action today. Having spent the night on Shannonside, LYIT Donegal face Limerick Celtics at 3.30pm.
