MILFORD father and son Shaun Paul and Luke Barrett were tonight ratified as the new Donegal Under-20 and Under-17 managers.

Shaun Paul Barrett takes over the Under-20 role from Gary McDaid, while Luke Barrett succeeds Gary Duffy at the helm of the Under-17s.

Shaun Paul Barrett is a former underage manager with Donegal teams.

He won an Ulster Minor Championship and League double in 2016 and was a candidate for the Donegal senior job when Declan Bonner was selected as Rory Gallagher’s replacement.

His last management job was Termon boss for a period in 2018.

Luke Barrett managed the Donegal Under-16s this year, taking them to the Buncrana Cup final, where they lost out to Derry.

Luke Barrett – who plays for Milford seniors – was previously part of his father’s backroom team.
