An open day at Ards Forest Park will see the entrance barrier lifted to welcome visitors for a fresh winter walk in the woods.
The 1,200 acre woodland located 5km north of Creeslough normally has a €5 car parking fee at the gate. Entry is free for all this Sunday December 15th, for a fundraising afternoon in support of two charities.
The event takes place between 12noon and 4pm on Sunday. All profits from the Ards Coffee Tree cafe will be donated to the Donegal Hospice and the Donegal Mountain Rescue Team.
The afternoon will be a great chance to shake off the Christmas party cobwebs and explore the park – followed by a hot drink and festive treat in the cafe to support the fundraiser.
The 2019 Open Day is in association with Coillte and Wild Atlantic Camp.
