He may be from Cobh all the way from Co Cork but his heart is in Letterkenny and Co Donegal. Newly elected Letterkenny Chamber President and Head of Operations at Bank of Ireland, Donegal, Jimmy Stafford gives us his hopes for the New Year.

“I am really looking forward to 2020 in my role as President of Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce. Letterkenny is an expanding & exciting town to live and work in.

“Chamber events include the ever-growing Christmas lights, St Patricks Day festivities, Busking Festival & supporting numerous other community events. I am looking forward to seeing these grow even bigger and better.

“I am also looking forward to the growth of ShopLK, this Local Gift Card initiative has grown from strength to strength with over €7 million in sales since it was launched a few years ago, the beauty of this is that all the money is spent locally in over 230 ShopLK members outlets around Letterkenny.

“The Chamber is always looking for new members and with 250 members I want to see this grow more in 2020, the Chamber is open to all businesses no matter how big or small.

“On a personal level, I am aiming to get fitter in 2020 & also discover more of our wonderful County of Donegal!”
