Declan Bonner admitted his disappointment in the wake of Donegal’s 0-19 to 2-13 draw against Mayo in the Allianz League Division 1 opener, writes Alan Foley

Donegal looked as though they had done enough to get over the line as a Michael Murphy free put them three points in front in injury time. However, in the eighth additional minute, Mayo’s James Durcan produced an unlikely leveller when his shot clipped Michael Murphy on its way past Shaun Patton.

All in all, the Donegal manager was pleased with certain aspects of his team’s display ahead of their trip to Navan this coming Sunday to take on Meath in the second series of fixtures.
