Donegal County Council has announced its gritters will be out in force tonight as temperatures are set to drop.
Routes 01,02,07,09,12 are to be gritted from 8pm tonight.
Met Eireann is forecasting frost for tonight.
However, a band of rain will reach the southwest coast early in the night and will spread northeastwards overnight.
It will be heavy at times with some sleet and a possibility of hail.
Lowest temperatures 1 to 5 degrees, coldest in the north with moderate south to southeast breezes.
