Caution is being urged today as Storm Ciara continues to hit the west coast of the country.
A Status Orange weather warning is in place for Donegal today along with most other coastal counties.
Storm Ciara will continue to produce very strong westerly winds in coastal areas with mean speeds of 65-80km/h and gusts generally between 110 and 130km/h.

The Status Orange alert remains in place until 8pm.
Donegal County Council is asking motorists to take extra care while driving during stormy weather and to be extra vigilant of cyclists and pedestrians and to be mindful of the risk of falling trees and debris.
