Man found dead in drain is named

A young man who was found dead in a drain in Ballyshannon on Saturday evening has been named.

He was 36-year-old Thomas Kelly, with an address in Belleek but who was originally from Cloghore in Ballyshannon.

Funeral arrangements have yet to be announced. Ths family home is private, at present.

Investigations into Thomas’ death are still ongoing.

Gardai say the results of a post mortem will determine the course of their investigation.

The N3 road remains closed at between Ballyshannon and Belleek. Diversions are in place.
