CORK CITY goalkeeper Liam Bossin was discharged from hospital this morning.

Bossin was taken to Cork University Hospital after a collision with Finn Harps forward Alexander Kogler late in the first half at Turners Cross.

Bossin was replaced by veteran Mark McNulty.

The Cork goalkeeper was kept in overnight before being released this morning.

“Liam got a bang to the head but I am pleased to say that he was discharged from hospital overnight,” Cork City manager Neale Fenn said.

“I’ve had a chat with him this morning and he is in good form. We will work with our medical team and assess him over the next few days, but he is doing well.”

The incident was a controversial moment in the game with Kogler seeing a goal disallowed – a decision that drew the ire from Harps.

Cork won 1-0 thanks to Alec Byrne’s header on 56 minutes.
