Driver nabbed speeding at 168kph in “hazardous” conditions

Donegal Gardai have nabbed a driver speeding at 168kph in what they said was “hazardous” conditions on the main Letterkenny to Derry Road.

The driver was clocked by the Buncrana Roads Policing Unit last night in a 100kph zone.

A Garda spokesman said “The weather was very wet with strong winds. Driving conditions were hazardous.

“The driver was arrested and court will follow in the next few weeks.”
