Most of us with colds and very wet lawns probably don’t need to be told this.

But Donegal had its wettest February since records began!

The weather recording station at Malin Head recorded the most rain since the country began recording weather as far back as 1850.

But we’re certainly not alone.

A total of 16 of the 25 weather stations operated by Met Eireann also recorded their wettest February for the same period.

A total of 11 of these stations also recorded their windiest February on record.
