Man left seriously injured after attack near hotel

A man received serious injuries when he was assaulted in a row near a hotel in Bridgend.

The Garda Armed Support Unit were coincidentally in the area at the time of the attack on Saturday last.

The man was left unconscious following the attack but has received since his ordeal.

Gardai want to speak to anybody who was in the hotel at the time of the attack.

Officers believe that others who had been at the hotel during the vicious attack had fled the scene.

Gardai in Buncrana would like to hear from anybody with any information on the attack.
