A full support team has been assembled at a Letterkenny-based travel agency to help people facing major travel disruption as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Atlantic Travel has decided to operate their business behind closed doors from Monday as their team works to help customers with urgent travel concerns.

With flights and holidays being cancelled and borders closing worldwide, the team said their main priority is helping people get home from resorts.

Clients will be able to contact the company via phone and emails as agents take steps to reduce face to face contact where possible.

“We regret the inconvenience this will cause to our customers, however we feel this is a necessary action to protect both our staff and customers from virus transmission in line with best practices,” a statement from Atlantic Travel said.

“We request where possible clients use the options below to contact us. Where clients need to meet with us please call or email to arrange an appointment. For ticket collection, payments please call or email.

“We are dealing with bookings in date order, our immediate concern is helping people get home who are in resort. If you are not due to travel in the next 72 hours please bear with us, we will be in touch as soon at the earliest possible opportunity.

“We thank you sincerely for your patience during this unprecedented time. We are working tirelessly to ensure that YOU our clients are being looked after.”
