Garda investigation launched after woman’s body found at house in Letterkenny

A post mortem to be carried out on the body of a woman found at a house in Letterkenny will be held today.

The body of the woman who was in her 60s was found at an address in Sylvan Park.

Gardai were first notified of the woman’s remains at the house on Monday morning last.

They immediately sealed off the house and launched a forensic investigation into the discovery of the body.

A Garda source said the findings of today’s post mortem at Letterkenny University Hospital will determine the course of their investigation.
