Two Donegal sisters have added a touch of glamour to their isolation by having a home dress-up party.
Louise Lynch from Buncrana and her sister Roisin Hutchinson were all dressed up with nowhere to go after they decided to put on their wedding wear for a ‘Stay at Home’ party.
Louise, who got married last year, seized the opportunity to re-wear her beautiful wedding dress to lounge about and drink Prosecco with friends via Facetime. Her sister Roisin joined the party in her bridesmaid dress.
This bridal trend took off on social media after broadcaster Maia Dunphy inspired followers to take their beloved dresses out of the closets at the beginning of the Covid-19 lockdown.
The response was so good that a date has been set for everyone to join in on the #weddingsmashers party on Twitter this Wed(ding)nesday at 7.30pm.
Louise and Roisin just started the party early!
This was supposed to be a joke, but LET’S DO IT! Tomorrow, Wed(ding)nesday at 7.30pm, don your wedding dress, bridesmaid ensemble, mother of the bride get up or just come as guest. Take a photo, add the hashtag #weddingsmashers so I can retweet them, fix a hard or soft drink &… https://t.co/godWWbRHxS
