THREE DONEGAL players have been named on the Electric Ireland GAA Higher Education Rising Star Football Team of the Year.

Letterkenny Institute of Technology duo Michael Langan (pictured) and Peadar Mogan are joined by DCU’s Brendan McCole in the final fifteen.

St Naul’s defender McCole was on the DCU side that defeated IT Carlow in the Sigerson Cup final earlier this year.

McCole is one of six DCU players included. Among them is Monaghan’s David Garland who was named as the Electric Ireland Higher Education GAA Rising Stars Football Player of the Year.

Letterkenny Institute of Technology reached the Sigerson Cup semi-finals for the first time.

St Naul’s man Mogan and St Michael’s player Langan were two of the stars of the Michael Murphy-managed LyIT squad and have been rewarded for their fine outings.

McCole, Langan and Mogan are all part of Declan Bonner’s Donegal senior panel.
