Death toll rises by three in Northern Ireland, 97 new Covid-19 cases

THREE further Covid-19 deaths have been confirmed in Northern Ireland.

The Public Health Agency released its latest figures this afternoon, announcing 97 new cases of coronavirus in Northern Ireland.

The death toll in the region is now 73 with 1,255 positive cases since the outbreak.

As of 11.15am today, there had been 52 lab confirmed cases in the Derry and Strabane District Councl area.

Some 9,158 tests have been carried out so far in Northern Ireland.

On the island of Ireland, 247 people have now died after contriving the virus.
