A new map has been released by the HSE to show where people with Covid-19 are living.

The distribution of Donegal’s cases, as of 11th April, is centred on the most populated towns in the county, including Letterkenny, Buncrana, Donegal Town, Ballyshannon and Bundoran.

The map also shows that isolation measures on Tory and Arranmore Island have been effective, with no cases confirmed offshore.

The location data is valid to HSE records up to 11th April, when Donegal had 225 confirmed cases of coronavirus.

The total confirmed Covid-19 patients at Letterkenny University Hospital was 37, as of 8pm on Monday 13th April. A further 16 suspected cases had been admitted to the hospital at the time of record.

LUH had five patients with Covid-19 and one suspected case in the critical care unit, with just two critical care beds vacant. 131 general beds were vacant on site up to Monday night.

The number of confirmed cases in Co. Donegal now stands at 296, according to the latest data from Monday.

The total confirmed cases nationwide is 12,547.
