Three more Covid-19 deaths confirmed in the north west

Three people have died due to Covid-19 in the north west region in the past day.

Forty four patients in total have died in Ireland in the past 24 hours as a result of Covid-19.

This brings the total number of deaths to 530.

The Department of Health has also said that there are 597 newly-confirmed cases of Covid-19, with a further 112 older tests confirmed in German laboratories.

The number of cases in Donegal has risen to 352 – a 10% increase on yesterday’s figure.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Republic is now 13,980.

The median age of today’s reported deaths is 84. The patients included 19 females and 25 males. 25 people were reported as having underlying health conditions.
