Covid-19: 16 more deaths in Northern Ireland as UK death toll passes 20,000

THERE have been a further 16 Covid-19 deaths recorded in Northern Ireland’s hospitals.

The Department of Health confirmed the latest 16 deaths, which brings the North’s death total from the coronavirus to 294.

There have been another 104 positive tests confirmed, which means there have been 3,226 cases since the outbreak.

There have been 21,153 tests carried out in Northern Ireland.

The UK’s death toll has passed 20,000, with 813 new deaths bringing to 20,319 the number of people who have died after contracting Covid-19.
