CHILDREN’S toys and household waste were among items discarded on the side of a rural Donegal road this morning.

The image above was taken by a pedestrian walking on the mountain road between Killea and Bridgend.

Four bags of household rubbish and other items were dumped.

There has been an increase in the volume of illegal dumping in Donegal since the Covid-19 lockdown last month.

Just last week, Donegal County Councillor Gary Doherty highlighted a spate of dumping near Castlefin and said he was ‘inundated’ with calls.
