Gardai are investigating an arson attack at Fahan marina.

The incident happened at around 8.20pm on Friday evening last when several timber decking planks were set on fire.

The local fire service managed to put out the blaze before it spread.

Gardai say they would like to speak to the owner of a two-tone Landrover Defender jeep which was seen in the area at the time.

They say the driver may have genuine reasons for being in the area and they would like to eliminate them from their enquiries.

Any information on this incident should be given to the Gardai at Buncrana on 0749320540.
