Hundreds of homes are without water in the Lifford area today following a burst water mains.

Donegal County Council and Irish water have notified customers in the areas that they will be without water until around 2pm.

The areas hit include Springhill, Toberoneill, Calhame, Dooras and Ballindrait.

Works are ongoing to repair the burst and a traffic management system is in place while this happens.
