Gardaí are investigating the theft of valuable property from an oyster farm in Inishowen last week.

110 seed bags were stolen from a farm at Trawbreaga Bay near the Isle of Doagh in Clonmany.

The stolen goods are said to be worth a substantial amount of money.

The incident is believed to have occurred sometime between 23rd and 26th May.

Gardaí have launched a public appeal for information and are urging the local community to report any ‘stories or whisperings’ which they may have heard that might assist with the investigation.

Anybody with any information or who saw anything untoward near the farm is asked to contact Buncrana Garda Station on 074-9320540.
