Letterkenny University Hospital has the second highest number of suspected Covid-19 cases in the country.

Twenty four patients at the hospital have suspected cases of Covid-19, according to the latest HSE data from 8pm on Sunday.

A further four patients with confirmed cases of the virus are being treated onsite.

The number of Covid-19 cases at LUH is a cumulative number – it is not a number of new suspected or confirmed cases per day.  See the report here.

There are no patients in ICU at LUH with the virus.

At the same time last week (31st May), the hospital had 15 suspected Covid-19 patients and four confirmed cases.

The latest update comes after a further reduction in the total number of Covid-19 cases in Donegal.

Yesterday’s update from the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) saw the number of cases drop to 471 since the outbreak began.
