Breaking: Pearse Doherty taken to A&E after suffering back spasm

Donegal Deputy Pearse Doherty has been taken to A&E in Dublin after suffering a back spasm at Leinster House.

The Sinn Féin TD was working in his Dáil office when he pulled a muscle in his back.

He has been taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution.

A statement from a Sinn Féin spokesperson said: “Pearse Doherty had a mild back spasm whilst in his Dáil office and has gone to A&E as a precaution.”
