The staff of Cloughfin National School, Ballindrait, Lifford bid a fond farewell to the 6th Class pupils of 2020 with some special surprises this week.
Staff visited children’s homes during and presented them with certificates and hoodies to mark their graduation from primary school.
A special video was also put together to wish them well as they embark on a new, exciting adventure when they commence secondary school in September.
The video contains motivational and reassuring messages from: the teachers of R.T.E.’s Home School Hub, footballer Amber Barrett, rugby star Laura Feely, Donegal footballers Ryan and Mark McHugh, R.T.E. weather presenter Nuala Carey,badminton star Chloe Magee and Westlife’s Nicky Byrne.
“We wanted to do something special for our 6th class as their final year in primary school was cut so short,” said Principal Fiona Farry.
