Gardaí have issued a notice to the public to beware of a new email scam which appears to call members of the public to jury service.
The email tells the receiver that they have been selected to be a juror in an upcoming court. The person is told to click on a link to register their information in order to get a jury number. However, this email is not from the Courts Service and the link is not legitimate.
The public is advised not to click on any links.

An online notice from gardaí said: “A genuine jury summons is issued only through the postal system.
“The Courts Service of Ireland will never email a message such as this. Jury summonses are mailed via An Post.
“Other official communications are sent either by registered post, summons or under warrant.”
