SOUTH Donegal is in mourning following the death of much-loved publican Nora McGinley.

Nora passed away peacefully at the North West Hospice in Sligo.

Nora ran Evelyn’s Central Bar in the village of Carrick.

The family took over the bar in the 1950s and for many years Nora was the popular face behind the counter.

Predeceased by her husband John, sadly missed by her loving son Seamus, her brother Robbie, sister-in-law, her many nieces and nephews and a wide circle of relatives and friends.

Remains are reposing at her residence in Carrick from this evening.

Removal on Saturday evening to St Columba’s Church, Carrick, for 8 o’clock.

Funeral mass on Sunday – time to be arranged – with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Due to HSE & Government guidelines house, wake and burial are private.
