Woman hospitalised after overnight assault in Donegal

GARDAÍ are investigating an overnight assault in Letterkenny that resulted in a woman being hospitalised.

It is believed that a weapon was used in the incident at Brookfield Heights.

A woman suffered non-life threatening injuries, but received treatment in hospital.

A Garda spokesperson told Donegal Daily: “Gardaí are investigating an assault that is believed to have occurred at approximately 3:15am this morning, Sunday 5th July, at a property in Brookfield Heights, Letterkenny.

“A female in her 30s was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital with non life threatening injuries.”

No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
