Finn Harps to host Cliftonville in behind-closed-doors friendly

FINN Harps will host Irish League Premier Division side Cliftonville in a friendly on Saturday.

What is a rare home friendly for Harps under Ollie Horgan will be played behind closed doors at Finn Park.

Cliftonville’s squad contains ex-Harps players Richard Brush and Ryan Curran, but fans will not be permitted to attend this weekend.

Harps resume the 2020 season with an away game against Shamrock Rovers on August 1 at Tallaght before welcoming Shelbourne to Finn Park on Tuesday, August 4 at 5.45pm.

The remaining fixtures for the truncated 2020 season will be two rounds of matches in total, including games played to date, and promotion/relegation as scheduled at the start of the year.

Harps are working on making Finn Park Covid compliant before outlining their arrangements for competitive home games.

Measures to be included in works to Finn Park include adding temporary accommodation to include away dressing rooms, facilities for match officials and a medical room.

Almost €30,000 has been raised via a GoFundMe campaign intended to fund the works.
