The Bundoran RNLI Lifeboat and the Killybegs Coast Guard boat were jointly involved in assisting a broken down vessel off the coast of south Donegal this afternoon.

The alert was raised after 12noon when a vessel got into difficulty at Kildoney Point near Rossnowlagh.

Volunteers with Bundoran RNLI towed the boat back to safety at Bundoran Pier, with the help of the Killybegs Coast Guard crew.

The successful mission was stood down just after 1pm.
