St Mary’s Convoy see off Pettigo in Junior A championship

St Mary’s, Convoy, overcame Pettigo in Junior A championship by a 13-point margin.
St Mary’s Convoy 3-12 Pettigo 0-8
The home side got two first half goals to go into a 2-7 to 0-5 lead at the break. Those goals came from Joe McGill and John Toye with points coming from McGill, J Doherty, Packie Mailey, John Toye and Liam Toye, whilst Pettigo’s scores came from M O’Riordan (3),  K.Cain and P Robinson.
Further points from the visitors’ M Robinson and P Robinson got the second half scoring underway before three points in a row from Peter Blake for the home team. K Cain replied for 2-10 to 0-8.
C Bonner got the third goal for St Mary’s before two fine scores from P Blake secured the home win.
