Super smart student caught dealing €30,000 of drugs

A super-smart student who has just been accepted to third level college has pleaded guilty to dealing in more than €30,000 of drugs.

Anjola Shonukan, from Glenveagh Court in Letterkenny pleaded guilty at Letterkenny Circuit Court to having the haul of cocaine, cannabis, ecstasy and diazepan.

The 23-year-old was caught by Gardai with the drugs at Ballyraine, Letterkenny on June 6th, 2018.

His barrister said his client had already shown remarkable academic achievement and had been accepted to a third level course.

In total the accused pleaded guilty to four charges including possession and sale and supply of the drugs.

A request was made by the accused man’s legal team for a probation report.

The case was adjourned until October to allow for a probation report to be compiled.
