A man who had ‘history’ with another man has appeared in court charged with assaulting him.
Seamus Ward, from Drumbern in Milford, appeared at Letterkenny Circuit Court.
He pleaded guilty to assaulting the other man, Charlie Toye, on June 24th last year.
Barrister for Mr Ward, Peter Nolan, said there was a history to the offence and that there had been a previous incident.
He requested a probation report be carried out on his client to see if he was suitable for community service.
Judge John Aylmer agreed and adjourned the case until January for sentencing.
