GARDAÍ in Letterkenny have launched a probe into a daylight assault in the town.
At around 2.30pm on Thursday last, September 3, a male was assaulted by two other males at Oliver Plunkett Road, Letterkenny.
One of the males wrestled the man to the ground and he received a number of blows to the head from the second male.
One was described as having been wearing a navy and white hoodie, navy tracksuit bottoms with white stripes and black and white runners.
The other was said to have worn a red jacket, dark bottoms and white trainers.
The two made off on foot towards Main Street after the incident.
