Two suspended as Finn Harps host Derry City on Sunday

FINN Harps will be without two key players for Sunday’s north-west derby against Derry City.

Mark Coyle and Kosovar Sadiki will miss the game through suspensions following their sendings off during Monday’s defeat by Sligo Rovers.

Harps went down 3-1 at The Showgrounds and both players were shown red cards.

They will now miss Sunday’s showdown with Derry.

With just eight games to play, Harps are bottom of the Premier Division, but are just one point off Cork City, who are in the play-off spot.

Sunday’s game will be played behind closed doors at Finn Park.

In a statement, Harps said: “As per current government guidelines there will be no spectators permitted at the Finn Harps v Derry City game on Sunday.

“We regret hugely that fans cannot be present, our supporters are the heartbeat of the club, but the situation is obviously beyond our control.

“We ask all fans not to attempt to gain entry to Finn Park on the day.  We note the meeting that took place between Minister Catherine Martin and the major sports bodies last week and hope that a way forward can be found for supporters to safely return to games.”
