Health Minister Stephen Donnelly’s test for Covid-19 has come back negative, it has been confirmed.
All members of the Cabinet will no longer have to restrict their movements, as they were instructed to do so this afternoon pending the test result.
Minister Donnelly was referred for a Covid-19 test earlier today after reporting feeling unwell following a press conference. As a result, all Cabinet members were told to restrict their movements as a precaution.
The negative result tonight means that ministers can resume business as usual.
The Dáil reconvened this evening after being suspended for nearly three hours.
