Man dragged onto main road in Ballybofey assault

A MAN was dragged out to a main road during the course of an assault in Ballybofey on Sunday night.

The incident happened in the are of the AIB Bank at Main Street, Ballybofey, at around 10pm on Sunday, September 20.

A Garda spokesperson say that a lone male was approached by another male.

After being struck to the head, he was thrown to the ground.

Subsequently, Gardaí say that the victim was dagger out to the main road where he sustained further kicks to the head and body.

The man sustained a lot of minor injuries in the attack.

Gardaí have appealed to anyone who saw anything or any motorists who have dash cam footage to come forward.
