Listen: Peter Boyle dedicates IFC title win to the ‘wider Aodh Ruadh family’

PETER BOYLE saved a penalty from Darren McGeever as Aodh Ruadh won a first ever Donegal IFC in their history at Cloughaneely’s expense yesterday.

Boyle was a part of the last Aodh Ruadh team to play in the senior bracket, when they went down to St Eunan’s in 2010. Yesterday, 10 years on, the Ballyshannon team were 2-14 to 1-12 winners back at O’Donnell Park.

The goalkeeper paid tribute to the wider Aodh Ruadh family, whilst expressing his sympathy for his opposite number Shaun McClafferty and stressed the competitive nature of the IFC.
