FINN Harps attacker Adam Foley has been named on the new coaching ticket at his home club, Glebe North, for the 2020/21 season.

Foley, a recent recruit, is in the process of undertaking coaching badges.

Adam Foley and Eric Foley have been named as the coaches for the Glebe North side that competes in Senior 1 Sunday of the Leinster Senior League.

On Twitter, Foley said it was a ‘huge honour to take over my hometown club’.

He added: “We are all looking forward to the challenge ahead to take this club back to where it belongs.”

Foley had played for Newry City before being added to the Harps roster by manager Ollie Horgan in August.

Prior to signing with Newry, in June 2019, he was with Glebe North before having spells at Glenavon and Portadown. He has been capped for the Republic of Ireland amateur team.

Huge honour to take over my hometown club with this coaching staff & group of players.

We are all Looking forward to the challenge ahead to take this club back to where it belongs. https://t.co/Gcz19UYDKa
