Grant on the mark again as Shelbourne score big away win

CIARA Grant was on target yesterday as Shelbourne returned to winning ways in emphatic style.

The Reds recorded a 7-0 away win at Treaty United.

Following back-to-back defeats in the League and FAI Women’s Cup, Shels needed to register a response that showed everyone that they are still very much in the title race.

Republic of Ireland international Grant, who has been in excellent form since signing with the Drumcondra side, was among the goalscorers in the first half.

The Letterkenny woman, signed from Sion Swifts, was on target along with Noelle Murray and Emily Whelan (2) as Shels soared into a 4-0 lead.

Two goals from Jessica Gargan and one from Mia Dodd wrapped up a victory that will make the Dublin team feel like they are in seventh heaven following recent results.
