Donegal Daily supports #BuyDonegalWeekend – tonight we feature The Cope

In the run up to #BuyDonegalWeekend, Donegal Daily will feature a number of different businesses taking part in the campaign, which runs from November 6th – 8th 2020.

#BuyDonegalWeekend provides a platform for businesses across the county to highlight their exciting range of products and services.

Whether an iconic Donegal brand, boutique, skilled craft, designer or artisan producer, they collectively will showcase the best of Donegal business!

Here we focus on one of Donegal’s oldest and established retailers The Cope.

Established in 1906 by a small group of people led by an extraordinary leader, “Paddy the Cope Gallagher”.

The Cope is now recognised as one of the leading retailers not just in Donegal, but also in Ireland.

The Cope prides itself in being a community business which creates sustainable employment whilst operating with integrity and honesty through an engaged and inspired team.

The Cope is a multi-location co-operative with businesses in Dungloe, Annagry, Kincasslagh & Falcarragh.

Within these four locations there are 12 individual retail businesses which including Foodstores located in Annagry, Falcarragh and Kincasslagh.

Operating from Dungloe there are Hardware & Homeware, Menswear, Sports, Ladieswear, Furniture & Flooring, IT Sales & Services, Home Improvement/Builders Providers and Agricultural Supplies. Many items are available for sale through their website – www.thecope.ie

For #BuyDonegalWeekend The Cope will be offering 10% off their Donegal GAA Range and all Mens and Ladies Clothing.

Their Hubtec store, which remains open to the public will also be providing sales on selected laptops, desktops and electronics.
