Six weeks apart but always close

It’s a sad picture that will be played out in homes across Donegal today.

The country goes to Level 5 of the Government’s Living with Covid Plan at midnight tonight.

As part of that plan people cannot travel more than 5kms from their homes.

Because of this Letterkenny man Maurice Sweeney last night made a last minute visit to his sister Mary in Dunfanaghy.

Maurice is 97 years young and his older sister Mary is 99 years young.

Both enjoyed a catch-up at Mary’s house in Dunfanaghy yesterday while still practising social distancing.

The brother and sister are already looking forward to six weeks time when they can catch up once again face-to-face.
