ST EUNAN’S are on the look-out for a new manager following the departure of Richard Thornton.

Coalisland man Thornton has left the role after two years at the helm and St Eunan’s want to appoint from within the club’s ranks.

Thornton was the St Eunan’s team trainer under Maxi Curran in 2018 before taking over as manager in January 2019.

Thornton’s St Eunan’s reached the semi-finals of the Donegal SFC in 2019 and 2020, losing by a point to Naomh Conaill each time.

This year, it took extra time and a controversial Leo McLoone goal to swing the pendulum just when St Eunan’s looked set to have their tickets punched for a trip to the final.

Prior to his involvement with St Eunan’s, Thorton trained Donegal under Rory Gallagher’s management in 2017.

St Eunan’s, 14-times Donegal SFC winners. say that they are ‘seeking applications from suitable qualified coaches fro within the club’.

The appointment will be made by conducting an interview process and the successful candidate will have to be rarified by the club executive.

Applications can be made by e-mail or text to the secretary, on or before Friday the 30 th October

2020, at 5.00 pm.
